Paradise is a design studio based out of New York and Sydney. Two years ago, I joined talented designer Luke Flynn and product designer Jay O’Neill at the start of their very own studio — Paradise. They tasked me in creating the brand for the new studio, under Luke’s direction. “Good luck,” they said. “hahahaha, oh shit,” I said.
The logo type and visual brand drew from a mix of inspirations — Luke & Jay’s roots in Australia and dedication to surf culture, the typography and eclectic vernacular seen around our Chinatown office, and the amazing kitschy representations of “Paradise” from the 70s.
